Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Minnesota is hiring for a delivery driver role in Sauk Rapids, MN. The position involves daily route planning, accurately delivering totes, and maintaining professional interactions with nursing staff, all while adhering to privacy safeguards. Flexible shifts cover afternoons and evenings, with weekend duties as needed.

Starting pay is $19 per hour. Applicants must meet driver and background requirements, be 21+, and able to operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State driver’s license required.
• 21+ years old; 2+ years of related experience; advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; strong problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to handle fast-paced, multi-task environments; adheres to deadlines and quality.

Responsibilities

• Determine the most efficient and logical route for each assigned route.
• Check totes for facilities to ensure orders are complete before departure.
• Deliver correct totes to facilities on time.
• Exchange facility emergency kits and IV boxes as needed.
• Pickup returns and refused medications following safety protocols.
• Complete all paperwork accurately at end of each shift.
• Maintain professional and respectful demeanor with clients at all times.
• Collaborate with team members as needed and be flexible for special circumstances.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and arrange service when needed.
• Complete deliveries within shift time while following traffic and privacy rules.

Starting Pay: $19 per hour

Scheduling Requirements:

THE FIRST SHIFT IS 12:30PM-6:00PM AND THE 2ND SHIFT IS 7:00PM-MIDNIGHT (THESE SHIFTS VARY SLIGHTLY) LOOKING FOR FLEXABILITY THROUGH OUT THE WEEK, SINGLE ROUTES RANGE AROUND 4-6 HOURS LONG. ANY SCHEDULED WEEKEND SHIFTS ARE ON AVERAGE ABOUT 8HOURS LONG. THE EMPLOYEE IS EXPECTED TO DRIVE WEEKEND DAYS A MONTH, AND MAY HAVE TO DRIVE IN INCLEMENT WEATHER.

THE DELIVERY TEAM IS THE FACE OF THE COMPANY AND DIRECTLY INTERACTS WITH OUR CUSTOMERS. IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE PROFESSIONAL AND PATIENT WHEN DELIVERING MEDICATION TO NURSING STAFF WHO ARE CONSTANTLY STRESSED AND UNDERSTAFFED. Work assigned routes with time sensitive delivery requirements. Ensure all deliveries are accurate and timely. Comply with all Federal and Company privacy regulations regarding safeguarding of patient information.

Essential Job Functions (include the following):

• Determine most efficient and logical route for each route assigned
• Check totes for assigned facilities to ensure order is complete prior to departure
• Delivery correct totes to facilities in a timely manner

• Complete all paperwork/filing requirements accurately at the end of each work shift
• Present a pleasant and respectful demeanor to all clients at all times
• Work with team members as needed in special circumstances; be flexible as needed
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and advise supervisor when repairs/maintenance is required; take vehicles to be serviced as assigned
• Complete delivery assignments within the shift time assigned, while complying with all traffic regulations
• Follow instructions precisely related to patient privacy rules
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education and/or Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• State Driver’s License

Skills and Qualifications:

• Applicants must be 21 years old or older
• 2+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
• Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
• Ability to use GPS and hands-free cell phones
• Ability to read and follow directions/maps in English

Work Environment:
