Job Responsibilities
- Drive delivery vehicles within a designated delivery area, making several deliveries per shift.
- Deliver pizza and beverages to customers’ homes or offices.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate all store equipment related to preparation and service.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product according to company standards.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Perform orientation and on‑the‑job training as required.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Be able to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Have the ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
- Show strong communication skills: give written instructions, speak clearly with customers and co‑workers over the phone and in person.
- Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and the ability to make correct monetary change.
- Have motor coordination between eyes and hands to quickly, accurately, and safely make precise movements.
- Be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Essential Functions & Physical Demands
- Standing for most tasks; walking short distances; climbing stairs or ladders when necessary.
- Lifting bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lb) and unloading with a hand truck.
- Carrying large cans (≈3 lb) and heavier items such as pizza sauce (≈30 lb) during service.
- Push or pull trays of pizza dough (≈12 lb each) on dollies up to 30 ft. distance.
- Operate hand trucks and dollies to move trays and supplies.
Work Conditions
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36 °F in cooler areas to 90 °F or higher in some work areas.
- Sudden temperature changes while inside or outside.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and fumes.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500 °F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
