ThompsonGas in the United States seeks a Propane Delivery Driver to run local routes delivering to residential, commercial and industrial customers, operate a bobtail truck, and ensure safe, accurate deliveries using on-board tablets.

You will inspect vehicles daily, comply with DOT safety rules, provide professional customer service, respond to urgent deliveries, and support routine maintenance while earning a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A or CDL-B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physicals.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional interaction with customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to local residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
• Follow pre-determined routes and communicate changes to the manager.
• Record deliveries, meter readings, and tank levels via Tablet.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report needed maintenance.
• Inspect, paint, and repair company tanks.

We are currently seeking a Propane Delivery Driver to join our team of enthusiastic, innovative, professional individuals committed to providing a superior customer experience. The Delivery Driver is responsible for driving a propane delivery truck (bobtail) and filling tanks at the sites of our residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Delivery Drivers work closely with our customers and meet safety and customer service standards to ensure the best experience.

Job Details:

• Full-Time Position
• Complete daily local routes (home every night)

Position Responsibilities

Delivery Operations:

• Responsible for completing daily propane deliveries to local customers
• Follow a pre-determined route, communicating any necessary route changes and/or issues directly to manager
• Record deliveries, meter readings, and tank percentages accurately via Tablet
• Responsible for inspecting vehicle at the start of each day and notifying manager of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance
• Responsible for inspecting, painting, and repairing tanks owned by the company
• Performs other duties as assigned

Customer Service:

• Interact with customers professionally, addressing questions and concerns about propane delivery.
• Communicate effectively with your team regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
• Respond to emergency delivery requests as needed.

Safety Compliance:

• Comply with all DOT and state regulations regarding hazardous materials transportation.
• Educate customers on safe practices related to propane
• Ensure safety through prefill inspections, customer awareness, and system testing
• Wear required safety gear including protective clothing and equipment.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
• Maintain proper knowledge of propane handling procedures and emergency response protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid CDL-A or CDL-B
• Valid Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical examinations
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with customers professionally
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in various weather conditions
• Availability to work on-call rotations as needed (includes evenings and weekends)
• Previous propane experience is preferred
• Other duties as assigned
