Job summary

Graybar Electric Company in Lansing is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely deliver orders and provide excellent customer service on a local daytime route. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, with home every night, on a 5:30am–2:30pm schedule.

Responsibilities include route optimization, loading/unloading, and maintaining vehicle logs. Candidates must pass pre-employment physicals, hold a valid license for the vehicle used, and pass a DOT medical exam.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the vehicle type used.
• Must pass DOT medical exam for Commercial Drivers License (CDL) qualifications may apply.

• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Load and unload trucks and use warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Work a local route – no overnights or weekends away.

You will safely drive a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse to each destination, providing on-time delivery and good customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and passing along customer feedback, and even promoting services and products! One advantage of this role is that it is typically Monday-Friday during the day and you will be home each night.
