Eckart, LLC. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Delivery Driver to support daily operations with a Monday–Friday 5am–2pm schedule. You will drive company fleet vehicles, load and unload goods, and ensure on‑time deliveries while maintaining quality customer service.

The role emphasizes safety, route planning, and cooperation with the shipping team to meet deadlines. A high school diploma and a clean driving record are required, with benefits beginning after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s Licence with clean driving record.
• Minimum age to obtain a drive for hire endorsement—Varies per state and insurance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Be appropriately dressed for the elements (PPE as required).
• Load, unload, sort and move products by hand or using basic equipment.
• Operate, navigate and drive all company fleet vehicles safely and legally.
• Plan delivery routes with the shipping supervisor to maximize efficiency.
• Meet or exceed delivery deadlines.
• Read work orders or receive instructions for assignments.
• Assist with loading/unloading of trucks.
• Follow DOT policy for load securement and hazardous materials handling.
• Provide on-the-job training to new/junior drivers as required.
• Contribute to incident reports related to health and safety.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be appropriately dressed for the elements (Wearing appropriate PPE as required)
• Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
• Operate, navigate and drive all company fleet vehicles in safe, efficient manner following the rules of the road set by government legislation
• Plan delivery routes, with co-ordination from the shipping supervisor, to maximize efficiency while on the road
• Plan routes in a manner to meet and/or exceed delivery deadlines
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions for work assignments
• Participate in the loading and/or unloading of company fleet trucks
• Follow Department of Transportation policy and procedures regarding Load Securement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and operation of a commercial vehicle
• Provide on the job training to new/junior drivers as required
• Provide information for the completion of incident reports in relation to health and safety issues
