Job summary

Expo Home Improvement in Texas is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to transport materials and equipment to job sites and company locations. You will load, deliver, and document shipments, while ensuring safety and strong customer service.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a proven track record of punctual, independent work in a team environment. This role involves daily driving, inventory checks, and occasional warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Load, transport, and deliver materials and equipment in a timely manner.
  • Inspect deliveries and maintain accurate records including receipts.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws.
  • Assist in loading/unloading and inventory checks.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and coordinate with office and warehouse teams.
  • Support warehouse tasks as needed.

Description

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and products to job sites, events, and all company locations. This role ensures timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and customer service. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Logistics:
  • Load, transport, and deliver materials and equipment in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for deliveries and shipments.
  • Operate company vehicles safely, following all traffic laws and company policies.
Inventory & Material Handling:
  • Inspect and verify all materials before delivery to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signed receipts and inventory logs.
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety Compliance:
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and trailers.
Customer Service & Team Collaboration:
  • Provide exceptional service and professionalism when interacting with customers and team members.
  • Communicate effectively with the office, warehouse, operations, and installation teams to coordinate deliveries and/or pickups.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks as needed to support overall logistics operations.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in delivery driving, logistics, or a similar role preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75 lbs.) safely.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working Conditions
    Work Environment: Primarily driving and outdoor work; occasional warehouse tasks.
  • Must be able to safely operate Company vehicles and comply with applicable traffic laws, safety requirements, and Company vehicle policies.
  • Requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials and equipment..
  • Requires frequent entering and exiting of vehicles and may require prolonged periods of driving and sitting.
  • Regular exposure to typical warehouse and job-site conditions, including dust, dirt, noise, moving equipment, construction materials, and uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to safely lift, carry, and maneuver materials that are heavy with heavier or oversized materials handled using appropriate equipment or team assistance.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional weekends, evenings, or holiday deliveries as needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy materials.
  • Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, humidity, and direct sunlight while loading, unloading, and making deliveries.
