Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a Propane Delivery Driver in Lantana, FL to safely operate delivery equipment and serve customers. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, document findings, and maintain DOT paperwork while delivering propane gas.

You will record meter readings and ensure accurate documentation on route. The role requires a valid CDL Class B with Hazmat endorsement, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and vehicle upkeep in all weather.

Qualifications

• Active CDL Class B license.
• Hazmat endorsement.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain truck safely and cleanly.
• Comfort with hazards and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and delivery equipment safely to deliver propane gas.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicle and equipment.
• Document inspection findings and take appropriate action on exceptions.
• Prepare and maintain all DOT documentation.
• Observe traffic rules and practice defensive driving.
• Deliver propane gas and record deliveries, meter readings and tank percentages.
• Check credit status of customers prior to deliveries when on call.
• Collect payments and disconnect gas service as directed.
• Provide helpful assistance to resolve customer problems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you’ll be working on…

• You will be operating truck and delivery equipment safely to deliver propane gas.

• You will perform pre trip and post trip safety inspections of vehicle and equipment.

• You will prepare and maintain all appropriate documentation required of drivers by the Department of Transportation.

• You will record deliveries, meter readings and tank percentages accurately.

• You will check credit status of customers prior to making deliveries when on call

• You will collect payments from customers and disconnect gas service as directed.

• You will be sensitive to customers' situations and provide helpful assistance to resolve problems.

• You will perform other related duties as assigned.

Who you are...
