Job summary

Plumbers Supply Co is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely deliver plumbing supplies and materials to customers in the Evansville area. The role involves operating box trucks (Non-CDL), loading according to daily schedules, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment while maintaining safety standards.

You will interact with customers, provide excellent service, and collaborate with warehouse teams to meet delivery deadlines. Must be 21+, have a valid driver’s license, and meet DOT/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned or leased box trucks and flatbed trucks to deliver plumbing supplies according to customer specifications.
• Load trucks based on daily schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Use material handling equipment to load trucks and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Verify shipping counts and maintain adherence to safety and security standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service during all shipping operations and interactions with customers.
• Collaborate with warehouse and other teams to ensure timely deliveries.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING:

• Operate company-owned and leased box trucks and flatbed (straight) trucks (Non-CDL) to deliver plumbing supplies and related products according to customer specifications.
• Load trucks based on daily schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Use material handling equipment to load trucks and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Verify shipping counts and maintain adherence to safety and security standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service during all shipping operations.
• Maintain required certifications per DOT and OSHA standards and participate in company safety programs.
• Collaborate effectively with warehouse and other teams as needed.

OUR MUST HAVES:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a box truck or similar
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
• Customer service focus with excellent communication skills.
• Dependable attendance and reliability.
• DOT medical card or ability to acquire one.
• Prior experience driving a box truck in shipping, receiving, or delivery preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
