Job summary

One Ocean in Charlotte, NC is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to transport seafood products using your own SUV or small van, ensuring timely, safe deliveries and courteous service. You will load/unload, follow routes, and stay in communication with dispatchers.

The role is part-time with deliveries on Tuesdays and Fridays, 2–4 hours per shift, in the Charlotte metro area. Pay ranges from $75 to $100 per day.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial driving or route driving is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading procedures.
• Experience using pallet jacks or similar equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a personal vehicle (SUV or small van) to transport goods to customers (twice weekly).
• Retrieve air freight shipments from CLT Airport and deliver to customers.
• Load and unload products from the vehicle.
• Follow designated routes and schedules while obeying traffic laws and safety rules.
• Communicate delivery status with dispatchers and customers; report issues.

Job Overview

One Ocean is seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to navigate efficiently through designated routes.

Duties

• Use personal vehicle, an SUV or small van capable of carrying at least 150 to 200 pounds of cargo, to transport goods (twice a week) to customers.
• Retrieve air freight shipments from CLT Airport and deliver directly to customers.
• Load and unload products from the vehicle.
• Follow designated routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and documenting any discrepancies.

Experience

• Previous experience in commercial driving or route driving is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading procedures.
• Experience using pallet jacks or similar equipment is a plus.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
