Job summary

Blind Industries and Services of Maryland in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Delivery Driver for a full-time, in-office role from Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm. Pay ranges from $18–$21 per hour, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and reliable performance.

Qualifications

• Maintain a clean driving record and valid medical card.
• Able to perform basic math and read orders accurately.
• Current DOT medical certification and material handling training.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with orderly assembly of orders for delivery or interdepartmental transfers.
• Ensure proper transport and loading/unloading of orders.
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance and keep accurate records.
• Report periodic maintenance and keep vehicles clean inside and out.
• Fuel vehicles and operate pallets jacks, forklifts, or similar equipment.
• Prepare accident and incident reports as necessary.
• Maintain required record keeping for vehicle operations.

We are currently hiring for a Delivery Driver. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and enjoys working collaboratively with a close-knit group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with orderly assembly of orders for customer delivery or interdepartmental transfers.
• Ensure the proper transport (load and unload) of customer orders, transfers and special orders.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks on the vehicle and maintaining accurate records.
• Ensuring periodic scheduled maintenance is completed and reported.
• Keep vehicles clean inside and out.
• Fuel vehicles.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and completes required record keeping.
• Prepare accident and incident reports as necessary.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Possess and maintain a clean driving record.
• Basic math computation and reading.
• Maintains a current medical card and other requirements to operate a DOT registered vehicle.
• Maintains current material handling training certificates as required.
• Is required to travel frequently.
