Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a driver/operator to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring courteous service and adherence to FedEx standards. The role involves operating vehicles not regulated by FMCSA regulations and performing related customer service tasks.

Minimum education is a High School Diploma or GED. No prior experience is required, but the candidate must be at least 21 and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and reading and speaking English sufficiently to follow directions and

• Provide related customer service functions during deliveries and pickups.
• Operate non-DOT vehicles as assigned.

Job description

Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
