The Las Cruces Sun-News is seeking a part-time Delivery Coordinator for our Newspaper Distribution Centers in Las Cruces, NM. The role supports center operations, including carrier delivery and customer service, with a flexible schedule that covers weekends and holidays as needed.

Open the center, print and distribute reports, handle daily and non-daily products, and use center software for reporting. Assist with training and subscriber issue resolution as required.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma is required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Good time management skills and the ability to work varied days including weekends.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills are expected.
• Prior newspaper or distribution/warehouse experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open the distribution center and prepare for contractor arrival by printing and distributing reports.
• Distribute daily and non-daily products to carriers, haulers, retailers, and consumers.
• Use distribution software to handle required reporting for the center.
• Perform general housekeeping and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist with delivering newspapers and respond to subscriber service issues.
• Assist with training Product Handlers or Product Coordinators as needed.

Delivery Coordinator - Part Time

Las Cruces, NM

$14.00 per hour

The Las Cruces Sun-News is recruiting for a part-time, Delivery Coordinator for our Newspaper Distribution Centers working 30+ hours per week. This individual provides general support for a Distribution Center performing a variety of tasks and responsibilities within home delivery including delivery of newspapers. Position requires flexibility to work varied days and hours including weekends and holidays as needed.

Open the Distribution Center and prepare for the independent contractor arrival by printing, preparing and distributing specified reports and paperwork. Distribution and handling of daily and non-daily products to carriers, haulers, retailers and consumers. Utilize industry specific software to handle required reporting for center. General housekeeping of distribution center. Complete required documentation and reports for center as needed. Assist with delivering newspapers, Respond to and resolve subscriber service issues. Assist with training Product Handlers or Product Coordinators as needed.

Requirements

GED/High School Diploma. Valid driver's license, satisfactory motor vehicle record, dependable automobile, and liability insurance required. Strong organizational and communication skills. Good computer skills including Microsoft office. Good time management skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to push and pull carts loaded with newspapers Previous newspaper or distribution/warehouse experience preferred.
