Job summary

The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation is seeking a JMeals Delivery Associate to assist in packing, loading, and delivering frozen meals to JMeals consumers with a focus on accuracy and care. You will support the organization’s vision through reliable, timely service and by upholding safety and dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities include packing meals per orders, delivering to consumers, and maintaining clear delivery records while adhering to all policies and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to consistently lift packages in excess of 50 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Package frozen meals for distribution, ensuring correct numbers and dietary requirements.
• Load, transport, and deliver meals to consumers safely and promptly.
• Contact consumers to ensure their safety and welfare per guidelines.
• Follow transportation laws and maintain a clean driving record.
• Adhere to routes using routing program and lists.
• Operate assigned vehicles and keep them clean and prepared.
• Maintain delivery records and report issues to supervisor.
• Communicate with colleagues and leaders as part of the operations team.
• Follow JCC policies and department guidelines.
• Complete any additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Full Time. The JMeals Delivery Associate will contribute to the vision, mission and values of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation by packing, loading, and delivering frozen meals to JMeals consumers with standards of excellence.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Package frozen meals for distribution, paying close attention to ensure that correct numbers and dietary requirements are followed
• Load, transport, and deliver meals to consumers in a safe, timely manner
• Make contact with consumers and ensure their safety, health and welfare according to ODA and other state guidelines
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Adhere to assigned routes, utilizing routing program and lists
• Operate vehicles as assigned (company vehicle or personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement), ensuring that vehicles are clean, organized and properly equipped
• Maintain delivery records and promptly report any issues with deliveries, routes, or vehicles to supervisorCommunicate and cooperate with colleagues, members, and lay leaders as part of the operations team, including attending staff meetings as needed
• Adhere to all JCC and departmental policies
• Complete all additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Must be able to consistently lift packages in excess of 50 pounds and move in and out of vehicles for deliveries throughout the day. The ideal candidate is highly responsible and reliable with the ability to independently manage their delivery routes within a given time frame. Must have keen attention to detail and strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
