Job summary

McLane Company, Inc in Macon, GA is seeking a Delivery Assistant to support a Delivery Driver. This is a physical, fast-paced warehouse role; you will not drive the truck. You will bend, lift, and walk daily while representing the company to our customers.

You will unload trailers, place items in food-safe storage, help ensure on-time deliveries, and work safely. Must be at least 18, able to lift up to 75 pounds, and read/write English. Benefits start on your 60th day.

• Lift and move product and pallets up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailer using a hand truck or 2-wheeled dolly.

The Delivery Assistant is a physical, fast-paced position providing direct support to a McLane Delivery Driver. As a Delivery Assistant, you will not be driving the delivery truck. You will be bending, lifting, and walking on a daily basis. Similar to our Delivery Drivers, you also represent the face of our company to our customers. Great customer service skills are a plus!

Qualifications you\'ll bring as a Delivery Assistant Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Lift and move product and pallets which may weigh up to 75 pounds.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
