Job summary

A&B Distributors is seeking a Delivery Assistant to support drivers on daily routes, unload and stock products, and merchandise displays at customer locations near McAlester, OK. The role follows a Wednesday–Sunday schedule.

You will help ensure accurate deliveries, proper rotation, and adherence to safety and company standards while delivering friendly customer service and coordinating with drivers and store staff.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older with a Valid Driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as ERP software (i.e. Encompass).
• 1+ year of customer service, retail, sales, or service industry experience.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck etc.).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all products are handled safely to prevent damage or loss.

• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff and store personnel to ensure smooth delivery operations.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

The Delivery Assistant supports delivery drivers with the execution of daily delivery routes, including unloading product, stocking shelves, and merchandising beverage displays at assigned customer locations. This role ensures products are accurately delivered, properly rotated, and merchandised according to company standards and customer expectations.

This schedule is Wednesday through Sunday.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular standing, walking and reaching. Must be able to regularly lift and move products ranging from 25 to 170 pounds, as well as climb, reach, and perform other physical movements necessary to carry out the essential duties of the position. Position requires wearing steel-toed footwear.
