Farmers Home Furniture is hiring for a position that involves assisting with delivery and warehouse activities in Hudson, North Carolina. Duties include loading and unloading trucks, maintaining organization in the warehouse, and ensuring customer satisfaction with deliveries.
The ideal candidate will have a Jr. High School Diploma and some experience in a distribution or warehouse setting. Physical fitness is essential, as the role requires heavy lifting and other physical tasks.
The purpose of this classification is to assist with delivery and warehouse activities. The person in this classification will load/unload trucks and assist with the delivery of merchandise to customers’ home or business.
Jr. High School Diploma; six months experience in distribution or warehouse environment, shipping/receiving or delivering merchandise; or any combination of training, experience and education which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

Tasks require the ability to exert heavy physical effort, regularly involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 100 pounds) and occasionally involving handling heavier objects (in excess of 100 pounds).
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, depth, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
