Job summary

Home Furniture & More is seeking a energetic warehouse team member at our Live Oak location. The role involves unloading trucks, assembling displays, delivering to customer homes, and maintaining clean, organized warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, repairs, refurbishes and tests damaged merchandise as needed.
• Assists customers picking up merchandise in loading.
• Prepares merchandise for deliveries.
• Delivers merchandise to customer homes.
• Performs minor service calls and repairs at customers' homes.
• Removes packing materials and keeps warehouses clean.
• Oversees basic maintenance of store facilities.

Job description

We are currently Home Furniture & More who will soon be transitioning into Pate Ace Home and Hardware. We are looking to add a member to our warehouse team. The right candidate will be high energy, organized, ready to work with a positive attitude.

Pay $16/HR based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Unloads trucks of merchandise at our Live Oak location with periodic travel to one of our other stores to help when needed
• Assembles and displays merchandise for our showrooms at multiple store locations
• Assist in moving merchandise to the floor
• Loads and unloads merchandise
• Cleans, touches up, repairs, refurbishes, test/checks damaged products and services merchandise as needed
• Assists customers who are picking up merchandise in the loading of furniture
• Prep all merchandise going out for deliveries
• Delivers merchandise to customer homes
• Performs minor service calls and repairs - in customer homes
• Removes and disposes of packing materials
• Keeps the store warehouses organized and clean
• Oversees the basic maintenance of the store (ceiling tiles, bathrooms, floors, windows, yard debris)
• Uses all customer service satisfaction methods understanding that our goal is to go above and beyond for our customers
• Maintains store trucks
• Secures and maintains the company issued tools.
• Will assist in the transition from all furniture to hardware and furniture

Qualifications

• High school education or GED.
• Must have a valid drivers liscense
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., 200 lbs. with the aid of a dolly or the assistance of another person without sustaining personal injury or damaging the merchandise.
• Ability to read tags, instructions, maps, documents.
• Clean, valid driver's license. Mechanical ability to install and service home appliances, electronics, etc.
• Ability to work flexibility involving work hours, including weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, and personnel; assimilate information and make decisions; work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner.
• Ability to plan and organize daily work activities and work independently in absence of supervisor.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, kneel, sit, stand, walk.
