The Delivery and Service Technician role

The Delivery and Service Technician supports our growing business, ensuring smooth delivery and installation, and providing technical support and troubleshooting across our range of products including lighting, shading, and system controls. This role offers hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge technologies and is ideal for a technically skilled individual who values quality and customer satisfaction.

How success is defined
  • Safely and efficiently deliver products and equipment to customers.
  • Troubleshoot installation and configuration of products and systems at client sites.
  • Conduct diagnostics, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on‑site or in‑house.
  • Perform minor electrical repairs in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Assist Shade Installer with motorized shade installation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Provide excellent technical support and maintain customer confidence.
  • Train customers on usage, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain detailed service records and inventory logs.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Participate in training programs and stay updated on new products.
  • Exercise due diligence for safe vehicle and equipment use.
What you will bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Electrical Technology or related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a similar role (service technician, delivery driver, field electrical technician).
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and minor repairs of electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits, dimming systems and residential construction.
  • Experience with minor electrical work such as fixture replacements and small‑scale troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to learn and assist with motorized shade installations.
  • Customer‑oriented mindset and strong dedication to exceptional service.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving, time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with non‑technical customers.

Compensation: $24.00 per hour
