Job summary

New Narrative is seeking a delivery driver in Portland, OR to transport medications, food, and supplies to residences and outpatient worksites from the in-house pharmacy and kitchen. The role requires a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check, with lifting up to 75 lb on a regular basis.

Pay starts at $21.50/hour with potential for increase DOE. Shift runs Wednesday through Saturday, 1:00pm–10:00pm, and you will log deliveries in Workday each day.

Qualifications

• No drug-related charges in past
• Ability to lift and move items up to 75 lb regularly

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications and food from the New Narrative Pharmacy and Commercial Kitchen to residences and worksites
• Load delivery items and verify correct items
• Drive to drop-off locations and transport items safely
• Sign off on delivered items with staff on duty
• Enter daily delivery times into Workday
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report unsafe equipment
• Observe safety regulations and traffic laws
• Interact professionally with staff and consumers
• Follow the fixed work schedule and communicate deviations
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Follow all New Narrative policies and procedures

Summary

The purpose of this position is to deliver client medications, food and supplies to all New Narrative residences and outpatient worksites from the New Narrative Pharmacy and Commercial Kitchen.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Report to the worksite on time to pick up delivery items.
• Load delivery vehicle with delivery items; ensure the correct items are loaded.
• Drive from the pickup location to each drop off location assigned that day.
• Safely transport medications and food and keep vehicle secure at all times.
• Observe all safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Deliver medications and food from the vehicle to the New Narrative staff person on duty.
• Sign off on delivered items including narcotic medications with the New Narrative staff person on duty.
• Accurately track time and enter it into Workday on a regular basis.
• Unload the delivery vehicle at the end of each shift.
• Maintain a log of delivered goods for verification.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and report any unsafe or faulty equipment immediately.
• Interacts in a positive and professional manner with other employees, management, and consumers.
• Observes a fixed work schedule and communicates any deviations from this schedule to a supervisor in advance.
• Completes other tasks as assigned by supervisor in a timely manner.
• Observe all other New Narrative policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Employee must be able to pass a criminal background check and cannot have any drug related charges in their past.
• Employee must be able to safely lift and move items up to 75 lb on a regular basis.
