Job summary

Stewarts Marketplace in Utah is seeking a Deli team member to enhance the customer experience by preparing and serving a variety of deli products while ensuring quality and safety. You will greet customers, assist with selections, weigh and package items, and process payments.

You will maintain clean displays, follow food safety procedures, and rotate stock, while working with a supportive team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or deli work is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to obtain a food handlers permit.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Slice, weigh, and package deli products per orders and guidelines.
• Greet customers, make recommendations, take orders, and process payments.
• Maintain display cases, check pricing, rotate stock, and remove expired items.
• Follow food safety procedures and monitor temperatures; keep workspace clean.
• Work with team to ensure safe, efficient deli operations and shift adherence.
• Follow uniform guidelines to maintain cleanliness and food safety.
