Responsibilities

• Food preparation: prepare meats, cheeses, sandwiches, salads, and soups per recipes and quality standards.
• Maintaining inventory: ensure sufficient inventory and place supplier orders as needed.
• Serving customers: take orders, answer product questions, make recommendations with a friendly, efficient approach.
• Maintaining cleanliness: keep deli area clean and sanitary, including equipment, utensils, counters, and floors.
• Operating equipment: proficient in using slicers, ovens, grills, and fryers.
• Following food safety regulations: monitor temperatures and sanitize equipment and surfaces.
• Handling cash: process payments and give change as needed.
• Stocking shelves: replenish deli items such as meats and cheeses on shelves.
