Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a Deli Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced store environment. You will provide friendly service, prepare fresh meals, and ensure product quality while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities include slicing, weighing, assembling sandwiches, and restocking displays. Maintain professionalism, assist customers, and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to translate pounds and ounces into decimals.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Use of hair restraint required (hair net or hat).
• Wear clean uniform and name tag at all times.
• Consistent use of cut gloves and safe use of knives.
• Utilize gloves for food safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, in person and on the phone.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, deli cases, and backroom.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines.
• Slice and weigh lunch meats and cheeses; offer slice thickness options.
• Fill/rotate/date products for the display case.
• Operate slicers, scales, and wrapping equipment as required.
• Prepare sandwiches, salads, and party trays following recipes.
