Job summary

The Fresh Market in Rockville, MD is seeking team members to work across Deli, Meat & Seafood, Bakery, Grocery, Produce & Floral, and Front-End roles to provide exceptional service and keep our store operating smoothly.

You will help ensure freshness, execute planograms, assist with receiving and replenishment, and engage guests with a friendly approach on the sales floor. The pay range is $20.39 - $21.74 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in retail, grocery, restaurant or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, multitasking and speed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deli products meet freshness and quality standards.
• Execute planograms and maintain product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with leadership on ordering and replenishment.

About the Position:

We’re looking for team members who have the ability to work in any one of our departments, including Deli, Meat & Seafood, Bakery, Grocery, Produce & Floral, and our Front-End.

The pay range for this position is $20.39 - $21.74 per hour.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure alldeliproducts meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms andmaintainaccurateproduct placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of deli items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Execute planograms andmaintainaccurateproduct placement and signage.
• Follow all TFM policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpfulapproach whenon the sales floor.

Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

• 1+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Physical and Work Conditions:

• Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself, and exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Ability to use tools and equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Required to spend long periods of time on their feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law).
• Required to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.
