Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Specialist to ensure the deli department delivers freshness, correct rotation, and attractive presentation. You will support inventory control, merchandise to planograms, and assist guests with a warm, helpful approach on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include verifying deliveries, coordinating with leadership on orders, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards while contributing to a welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.

What You'll Do:

Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

• 1+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Physical and Work Conditions:

• Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself, and exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Ability to use tools and equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Required to spend long periods of time on their feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law).
• Required to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.
