Safeway in Washington is seeking a Deli Clerk to prepare fresh foods, greet customers, and help them choose deli meats, cheeses, hot foods, and grab-and-go items. You’ll keep the department stocked, clean, and running smoothly with fast-paced service.

Responsibilities include slicing, assembling, labeling, and restocking while maintaining food safety and temperature control. Must be 18+, able to operate slicers, and work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to greet customers and take orders clearly, in person or by phone.
• Experience slicing, assembling, and portioning deli items.
• Understanding of deli meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case items.
• Accurate labeling, pricing, weighing, and order accuracy.
• Comfort standing for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs, in varying temperatures.
