Job summary

The Fresh Market in North Carolina is seeking a Deli Manager to lead team members, manage department inventory, pricing integrity and training, and oversee other operational processes requiring attention to detail. This fast-paced role emphasizes efficiency, effectiveness, and a passion for excellence to drive results.

The pay range is $22.08 - $27.60 per hour, with a full benefits package and opportunities to coach staff and enhance guest service while ensuring safe, secure operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality.
• Or 5 years of related management experience.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and proactively assisting them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely information.
• Making recommendations and accommodating requests.
• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage.
• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels.
• Direct teams to handle, slice and prepare a variety of the department’s meat, cheeses, and CMS throughout the day.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job and through internal training platforms to provide excellent guest service.
