Sprouts Farmers Market in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a Deli Manager to lead one of our busiest departments, ensure top-notch customer service, and promote healthy eating through fresh, quality products.

You will recruit and develop a diverse team, manage inventory and schedules, uphold food safety standards, and collaborate with store leadership to drive sales and guest satisfaction. This role rewards initiative and commitment to a positive, energetic workplace.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with 2 years supervisory experience and 2 years deli department experience
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude toward team members and customers
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to take and give direction in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and multitask
• Food Safety certification and compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations and standards
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Ability to perform other related duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Manage and merchandise the deli department for productivity and profit
• Order and manage inventory controls, product quality
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork
• Lead a team to deliver top-quality products and service
• Coach and conduct bi-annual performance reviews with staff
• Attend and participate in in-store meetings
• Recruit, hire and participate in promotions/transfers with Store Manager
• Address team member concerns with independent judgment as needed
• Adjust schedules to maximize productivity
• Communicate standards, policies, and product knowledge to the team
• Maintain deli equipment and ensure safety and sanitation standards
• Oversee inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering supplies
• Collaborate with Store Manager and other managers to drive store success
