Job summary

SpartanNash in Goshen, IN is seeking a Deli Associate to work independently in baking, frying, packaging and stocking deli products. You will follow the production schedule, price, wrap and display items, and keep the department clean and inviting.

Candidates with 1 year of retail experience and a high school diploma (preferred) are encouraged to apply. The role requires adherence to PPE, food safety and guest service guidelines, with potential cross-department tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Bake and fry deli products as production schedule directs (80% of time).
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag deli products.
• Fill, rotate, inspect and merchandise deli shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify Deli Manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Familiarize yourself with all department products and price differences.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-stocked department.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety and cleaning expectations.
• Follow guest experience guidelines.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
