Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is hiring a Food Clerk to deliver remarkable customer service with product knowledge, efficiency, and a friendly attitude across our Fresh departments.

You’ll build connections, help customers find items, maintain appealing displays, stock and rotate products, and follow food safety procedures while working across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Deliver customer service with product knowledge and friendly attitude.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Exposure to various retail tasks including product, customer service and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
