Job summary

Mollie Stone's Markets in Sausalito, CA is seeking a Full Time Assistant Deli Manager who is customer-service driven and flexible to handle daily tasks across the deli. You will support the Deli manager, supervise staff, and ensure quality products and proper procedures are followed.

The ideal candidate has kitchen/deli or restaurant experience, strong communication, and a willingness to work mornings, evenings, and weekends while delivering excellent service and meeting margins and sanitation

Qualifications

• Minimum kitchen/deli/restaurant experience, customer service background.
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to motivate a team.
• Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and flexible to shifts.
• Able to train and inspire diverse team members to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Deli manager with all departmental functions.
• Assist in interviewing, training, development. Establish and maintain a positive work environment.
• Follow department procedures to maintain supplies.
• Know product availability, preparation, storage and nutritional aspects.
• Ensure Chef/Cook are following up to date and accurate recipes.
• Manage inventory and pricing, including signage, to achieve required margin and labor targets. Oversee sampling of department products to the customers.
• Supervise and maintain special order system.
• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
• Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Ability to give excellent and consistent customer service.
