Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to enhance the Fresh department experience. You will help customers, share product knowledge, and ensure displays are fresh and appealing. This role involves stocking, merchandising, and using store technology to complete tasks efficiently.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, follow food safety procedures, and collaborate with multiple departments. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required, with physical activity involved.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
