Job summary

Meijer in Ohio is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient service in our Fresh departments. You will connect with customers, share product knowledge, and help keep displays inviting and well stocked.

This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and a willingness to stay active in a fast-paced retail setting. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required; training is provided.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
