Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets is hiring for a deli position in our Spokane store. You’ll create an enjoyable shopping experience, greet customers, listen to needs, and help with deli items, orders, and displays.

We value customer service, teamwork, and following safety procedures, with opportunities to lead and grow within our deli department.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older.
• Complete a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs.
• Food Worker Card required.

Responsibilities

• Creating an all-around enjoyable shopping experience for customers.
• Welcoming and greeting customers at entry and exit.
• Listening to customers to understand needs.
• Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing deli items.
• Preparing special orders, take-out items, and party trays.
• Updating displays, cases and other customer-facing areas.
• Ensuring displays and products comply with company standards.
• Following all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Keeping work areas clean and ready to serve customers.
• Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Help lead and motivate the deli department team.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A few things you’ll need…

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older

These Qualifications Will Help You Stand Out

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of energy with strong customer service skills
• 3 years previous deli counter or food preparation experience (preferred)
