Job summary

Lowes Foods in Wilmington, NC is seeking a friendly Deli team member to deliver excellent guest service and help prepare deli products for sale. The role includes greeting guests, slicing and weighing items, and ensuring freshness and quality across the display cases.

Your day will involve maintaining sanitation, stocking supplies, and communicating guest requests to management, while following safety standards and assisting with product receiving and storage as needed.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality needed.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to read and understand information and direction.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests politely and engage with them.
• Prepare deli products for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing).
• Maintain product quality, freshness, and levels.
• Maintain sanitation in cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Report temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat and tidy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Assist with front porch duties to welcome guests.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.

• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs front porch duties to insure “guest arrival” standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
