Qualifications

• Clear communication when taking orders in person or by phone
• Experience preparing deli products, including slicing, assembling, and portioning
• Understanding of deli meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case items
• Accuracy in portioning, labeling, pricing, and order completion
• Managing multiple tasks while maintaining workflow and service speed
• Keeping display cases stocked, clean, and visually consistent
• Processing transactions and making accurate change using register systems (varies by location)
• Following food safety, sanitation, and company procedures
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing customer demand
• Comfort with standing for extended periods, lifting product up to 35lbs, and working in varying temperatures

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh food and assist customers with selections, ensuring a welcoming service experience
• Slice meats, assemble items, and prepare grab-and-go options
• Keep deli department stocked, cleaned, and organized throughout the day
• Monitor product freshness and temperature; maintain displays and case hygiene
