Job summary

ShopRite of Deer Park is hiring an Appy/Deli Clerk to support the Appy/Deli Manager in daily operations, maintain a neat, inviting department, and ensure safe handling of foods. You will assist customers, slice and prepare products, restock displays, and follow store policies to deliver great service.

Requirements include the ability to read, write, and communicate in English, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be 18+ and able to stand long shifts. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Basic math skills.
• Operate deli equipment as required by department (slicer, scale, etc.).
• Stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Use a slicing machine and related equipment.
• Replenish Appy/Deli product.
• Prepare Appy/Deli product for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, preparing, storing, and price marking.
• Handle damaged and spoiled products according to policy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Display products attractively and keep displays stocked.
