Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and taking orders in person or by phone.
• Food preparation experience, including slicing and portioning.
• Knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, and hot case items.
• Attention to accurate portioning, labeling, pricing, and order completion.
• Strong organization and time management for multitasking in a busy deli.
• Merchandising skills to maintain clean, visually appealing displays.
• Cash handling experience with accuracy in transactions.
• Adherence to food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Adaptability to fast-paced environment and changing customer demand.
• Physical ability to stand long periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and work in varying temps.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and slice deli items for grab-and-go and in-store displays.
• Assist customers with selections and take orders in person or by phone.
• Restock cases, maintain displays, and ensure product freshness.
• Operate deli equipment following safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the day.
