Houchens Food Group is seeking a Deli Clerk to rotate, stock, price and prepare deli items in a fast-paced grocery environment in Kentucky. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and following safety and packaging protocols.

Responsibilities include wrapping items, maintaining clean work areas, and assisting with bakery/deli production. The position emphasizes teamwork and adherence to dress code and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Rotates, stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
• Correctly prices all merchandise according to departmental guidelines.
• Follows proper wrapping and packaging procedure; including the use of the correct size tray and plastic wrap / or container.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines).
• Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner; follows safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans all required deli-bakery department tools and equipment.
• Follows proper procedure for producing all bakery/deli products.
• Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Maintains a neat and clean work area.
• Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
