Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace in New Jersey is seeking a friendly Full-Time Deli Clerk BOH (overnight shift) to join our busy, customer-focused team. You’ll slice meats, prepare salads, and help create delicious deli offerings for our guests.

This overnight role includes a $1,000 signing and attendance bonus paid in two installments, and perks like medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k), and staff discounts. We value teamwork, cleanliness, and high standards of food safety.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a deli or food service, including slicing meats/cheeses and making salads.
• Friendly, customer-focused, and passionate about providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Slice and prepare meats, cheeses, and other deli items to Uncle G’s high standards.
• Make delicious deli salads, sandwiches, and other prepared foods.
• Keep your counter, equipment, and work area clean, organized, and inviting.
• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness and quality.
• Help with inventory counts, labeling, and packaging as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.
• Support your teammates and help the deli run smoothly every day.

Overnight roles are eligible for a $1,000 signing and attendance bonus, paid in two installments: $500 after three months and an additional $500 after six months, provided perfect attendance is maintained.
