Job summary

Albertsons Companies is hiring a Deli Clerk in the store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service, share knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips and hot case items, and help prepare delicious foods that keep guests coming back.

You will use slicers, scales, fryers, ovens and cash registers throughout your shift, guiding and energizing teammates and making every guest visit memorable with a friendly, helpful attitude.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and enjoy working with people.
• Passion for food and knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, and hot case items.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle fast-paced customer flow.
• Willingness to learn product offerings and procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive, friendly attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and store guests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and assist guests with deli selections.
• Prepare and portion deli items to maintain freshness and presentation.
• Operate deli equipment (meat/cheese slicers, scales, fryers, ovens) and cash register.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow food safety guidelines.
• Support teammates and contribute to a positive store environment.

As a Deli Clerk, no one day is ever the same. You are someone who prides themselves on exceptional customer service and their knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, and gourmet and hot case food items. You take great care in preparing delicious food that will keep our customers returning to the store time and time again. You will have the opportunity throughout your day to utilize various tools like our meat and cheese slicers, food scales, fryers, ovens, and/or cash registers. As a Deli Clerk, you guide, inspire, and make every guest’s visit memorable. If you have smiles to share, we'd love to have you on our team.
