Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is hiring a Food Service Associate for the South Campus deli. You will prepare sandwiches, wraps, soups, and other items to recipe standards, and serve guests with a friendly, efficient attitude.

This full-time daytime role requires standing, stocking, and maintaining sanitation in a busy cafe environment. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm, 40 hours per week, with occasional peak periods.

Qualifications

• No directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches, wraps, flatbreads, soup and other deli items according to established recipes and customer requests
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service while assisting guests with menu selections
• Stock and replenish deli ingredients, food products, condiments, and supplies throughout the shift
• Monitor product freshness, rotate inventory using FIFO practices, and remove expired items
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of preparation areas, equipment, display cases, and service counters
• Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served in accordance with food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
• Assist with food display setup and merchandising to maintain an attractive and well-stocked deli area
• Cashier, food preparation, and/or other café operations during peak service periods
• Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations
