Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver excellent customer service in our Fresh departments. You will engage customers, share product knowledge, and maintain clean, well-Stocked displays while collaborating with teammates in a fast-paced retail environment.

Previous retail experience is helpful but not required. You will be lifting and standing for extended periods, with a focus on food safety and high-quality service.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Previous retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required.

You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
