Job summary

The Walmart Deli / Bakery team member role focuses on preparing quality products and engaging with customers at the service counter. You will move incoming merchandise to the sales floor, while upholding strict food safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

You may work in deli, bakery, produce, dairy, meat, or dry grocery areas, with duties including shelving, temperature checks, dating products, and helping customers select items or place cake and deli orders.

Qualifications

• Help customers find the products they are looking for.
• Ensure high quality products are available in produce, deli, bakery, dairy, meat, and other departments.
• Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays.
• Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food.
• Assist customers in ordering cakes, fulfilling deli orders, or finding the right produce.
• Keep area clean, sanitized, and customer-ready.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers at the service counter and help locate items.
• Maintain clean shelves and proper temperature controls across departments.
• Check dates and discard older products as needed.
• Assist with cake orders and deli requests as required.
