Job summary

Walmart is seeking Deli/Bakery Associates in Mitchell, SD. You will interact with customers at the service counter, prepare fresh foods, and help keep displays stocked and clean. The role includes stocking produce, deli, bakery, dairy, and other departments, while enforcing food safety standards and quality control.

You’ll help customers with cake orders, deli requests, and produce selection, and you’ll ensure area cleanliness and proper sanitation to maintain a great shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience at a fast-paced checkout or service counter.
• Ability to stock, cashier, and present fresh products with care.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and display deli, bakery, and fresh foods for customers.
• Assist customers in finding products and fulfilling special orders.

The main priority of Deli / Bakery associates is to prepare quality products for customers. They engage with customers at the service counter and move incoming merchandise out to the salesfloor. • Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays
• Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food

• Keep area clean, sanitized, and customer-ready

Additional compensation

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
