Job summary

Food Lion is hiring for a Deli Bakery Associate to provide quality customer service in-store. The role focuses on fast, friendly service, accurate product handling, and maintaining sanitation standards.

You will follow standard practices, operate store tools, and support teammates while ensuring safe handling and adherence to policies. Responsibilities include stocking, labeling, ordering, and displaying merchandise, plus completing required CBT and training.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follow manuals for product processing and label placement.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies.
• Ensure proper sanitation and safe food handling.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to company guidelines and standard practices.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge; maintain neat appearance.
• Complete CBT, training packets and training aids.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
