Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a friendly Deli/Bakery Associate to provide quality customer service and maintain department standards. You will assist customers, prep and present deli and bakery items, and follow Food Lion’s safety and quality guidelines to ensure a fresh, inviting department.

In Rolesville, you will operate related systems, support ordering and inventory tasks, and collaborate with teammates to ensure fast, accurate service and a positive shopping experience for guests.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follows all technical manuals for processing of product, label placement, etc.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food handling/preparation.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents per procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and wear the Food Lion uniform.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet, and Training Aid courses.
