Job summary

Meijer Inc. is hiring a Food Clerk in Ohio to create a fresh, welcoming store experience across Fresh departments. You will connect with customers, share product knowledge, stock and merchandise displays, and ensure food safety standards are followed.

We value a friendly, customer-first mindset, strong listening and communication skills, and comfort with technology in a fast-paced environment. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
