Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli/Bakery Associate to provide quality customer service and maintain department standards at our Carrollton, VA location. You will help with ordering, receiving, prep, and display of merchandise while upholding food safety and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Deli Bakery Department.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follow manuals for processing of product, labeling, etc.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies.
• Ensure proper sanitation and safe food handling.
• Learn and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to company guidelines and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents according to procedures.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and name badge on duty.
• Complete CBT, training packets and training aids.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
