Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service in our Fresh departments. You will help customers find items, maintain attractive displays, and stock products to keep the store running smoothly.

You will use store technology to complete tasks, follow safety procedures, and work across multiple departments as needed. No prior experience is required, but a positive, active approach is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn and use store technology (POS, scanning, inventory).
• Willingness to be physically active, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain fresh, visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
