Job summary

ShopRite of Waretown is seeking an Appy/Deli Clerk to support the daily operation of the Appy/Deli Department and deliver a great customer experience. You will help maintain a clean, appealing department and perform tasks efficiently and safely according to company policy.

The role requires ability to read and communicate in English, physical stamina, and teamwork to meet department goals. Training and standards are guided by ShopRite priorities of Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to operate department equipment (slicer, scale, can-opener, wrapping machine, rotisserie, fryolator, cheese grater/cutter, stove/oven).
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Use a slicing machine and related equipment.
• Replenish Appy/Deli product.
• Prepare Appy/Deli product for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, preparing, storing, pricing, stocking, and rotating products.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise to Appy/Deli Department (up to 50 lbs).
• Display products attractively and assist customers.
• Ensure accuracy of prices and product locations.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
